Dr. Amer Adham Moustafa

Title of presentation : Urban Identity and the Post Urban Discourse: The Quandary of Rising Gulf Cities 

Dr. Amer Adham Moustafa is an Associate Professor at the School of Architecture and Design, American University of Sharjah.  His teaching and research interests are in the areas of urban design and planning, urban transformation, and sustainable development. He spent over fifteen years in consulting, research, and teaching in the USA. He held teaching positions at the University of Southern California, California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and California Polytechnic, Pomona, California. Dr. Moustafa holds a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California, an S.M.Arch.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a B.Sc.Arch. from the University of Aleppo.
