Professor Jacques  Ganoulis

 Aristotle University of Thessaloniki ,Greece

Jacques Ganoulis studied at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) and the Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse, graduating with a PhD in Fluid Mechanics-Hydraulics (Doctorat d’Etat).

He specialises in water resources management, risk analysis and multicriterion decision making, currently being a Professor of Hydraulics and Environmental Engineering at the Department of Civil Engineering at AUTh. His publications are numerous (10 books, 150+ papers)

He coordinates the UNESCO Chair/International Network of Water-Environment Centres for the Balkans (INWEB) on “sustainable management of water and conflict resolution” (see www.inweb.gr)., which concentrates mainly on transboundary issues, and cooperates closely with UNESCO’s International Hydrological Programme.
