John is currently the Chairman of Gough Group Holdings Limited; a Company founded in Wolverhampton in 1900 by William Gough, and is also the Managing Director of William Gough and Sons Limited. The Company and its subsidiaries are in the Construction and Property Sectors operating throughout England and Wales. Within this field John has been Chairman of The Chartered Institute of Building for the West Midlands and Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Building and the National Federation of Builders for Wolverhampton.   As a life long supporter of Wolverhampton Wanderers John became a director in 2006 and has seen them go from strength to strength winning the Championship title in 2009 and earning promotion to the English Premier League.
