Lord Charles Falconer;

The Rt Hon Lord Falconer is the independent Chair of TGLP. He was Minister for Housing, Planning and Regeneration in 2001 (which included responsibility for the Thames Gateway) and Criminal Justice Minister in 2002. He became Secretary of State for Constitutional Affairs and Lord Chancellor and introduced the Constitutional Reform Act 2005 which created the first Supreme Court. He led a department with a budget of over £10 billion and over 80,000 employees. He stepped down from his ministerial posts when Tony Blair was succeeded by Gordon Brown as Prime Minister and returned to legal practice as a senior counsel.
