Dr. Mohamed Nabyl Chenaf

Dr. M. Nabyl Chenaf is an Associate professor and chair of the Architecture & Interior Design departments at the American University in Dubai (UAE). Before joining AUD, he was the editor of l”ARCA magazine of Architecture.

He has been teaching Interior Design, Architecture and Urban Planning since 1989 year of completion of his Ph.D. from Nottingham University - UK.

He designed several buildings and urban settlements, and his research interest has been mainly in the field of perception of meaning and mental mapping of the built environment.  

Finally, he has been regularly involved in research supervision as well as juries for international competitions in Architecture and Urban Design.
