Professor Mustafa Alshawi Associate Dean for Research & Innovation, University of Salford, UK Professor Alshawi is a Professor of Management and IT in Construction and the Associate Dean for Research and Innovation (previously the Director of Build and Human Environment Research Institute at the University of Salford). He holds many international advisory posts in various countries and a consultant to the World Bank. He is also the Editor in Chief of the international journal of “Construction Innovation: Information, Process, Management”, published by “Emerald”, and the author of over a hundred publications in fields such as integrated computer environments, databases, object oriented databases, IT strategies, CAD, planning automation and IS success factors. He has recently published a book to provide a holistic view on the readiness of organisations to successfully embrace IT into their work practices.
