design studios and environmental control courses at UAE University – School of Architectural Engineering. He is also the principal of a green building consultancy firm, and serves in various committees like Dubai Award for Sustainable Transportation (DAST) – the environmental protection category.

Rashed is interested in sustainable design and energy efficiency in buildings, he lectures and organizes hands-on workshops to increase awareness about green buildings,he recently published a book titled "Natural Ventilation : Tools, Experimentation, and Inspiration".
