Salim T S Al-Hassani is Chairman of the Foundation of Science, Technology and Civilisation (UK) and Emeritus Professor of Mechanical Engineering and a Professorial Fellow in Humanities at Manchester University. Recent expertise in Cultural Roots of Science and Engineering, and in socio-genetic factors in planning university campuses and discovery centres. Founder of www.Muslimheritage.com. He authored and edited 300 publications and given around 150 lectures. Recipient of the British Science Association prestigious Fellowship for his work to promote the scientific and technological achievements within Muslim cultures. In 2010, New York Hall of Science awarded him the Global Science Award.
